COMPETITIONS
We arrange competitions for members who wish to participate, but this is by no means expected of all members. We hold critique evenings whereby members can submit their work for comment and also comment on other members work.
All competitions are open to fully paid up members. Each member is given a unique number and this must be used on each competition entry. The program indicates different types of competitions, they are as follows: -
OPEN CLUB
A member can enter up to 3 prints and/or 3 projected images. In addition to the unique number, a title must be given to each image. An external judge sees these and the points awarded are added to an accumulative score that determines the best print maker and best projected image maker of the year.
SET SUBJECT
As above, but each image to conform to a set subject, see program.
INTERCLUB
Members can enter any number of prints and/or projected images. A selection Committee comprised of club members will select the required number of prints and images to represent the club. No more that 3 of each will be chosen from each member. Again the unique number and title must be given.
ENPRINTS
Nine en-prints usually connected by a theme are attached to one mount and presented as an individual item. Club members to judge.
PORTFOLIO
Five prints individually mounted are presented. The mounts should not exceed 40x50cm.
CORNWALL PHOTOGRAPHIC ALLIANCE
The selection committee chooses entries from the best images of the year for the annual exhibition of the CPA. Judges from out of County will judge them along with entries from all other clubs.
CHARLES HOSKEN CUP
Individual members can submit up to 4 slides of their own choice. Three in County judges
will award points, max 15.
